Intel Embedded Solution Day 2011

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 28th September 2011 – 
PRADOTEC was invited to participate in Intel’s Embedded Solution Day to demonstrate PRADOTEC’s success in developing Handheld ePassport Terminal built on Intel’s embedded technology. Hosted by Intel Malaysia on the 28th September 2011, this event served as a platform for Intel to showcase its embedded technology. The event was held at Hilton Doubletree in KL and saw several successful Intel partners setting up booths to serve as case studies and provide guidance for other Intel partners.

The event was attended by Prakash Mallya, Country Manager, Intel Malaysia; Patrick Liew, Embedded Sales Group, South East Asia, and Gark Tan, Regional Marketing Director, Embedded Sales Group Asia Pacific and Mr. Vijayaratnam Tharumartnam, Director, Corporate Communications, MDeC.

Prakash kicked off the event by giving a brief observation on the current market trends and how Intel embedded solutions could be used to the advantage of SMEs in Malaysia.

During his presentation, Prakash invited Peter Choong, GCEO of PRADOTEC, to come on stage. PRADOTEC was the only company that has implemented Intel’s Embedded Technology in a mobile terminal. PRADOTEC’s mobile e-passport terminal, dubbed as ‘HPT600′ is powered by the Intel Atom Z510 processor which can efficiently process intensive applications that are required in an e-Passport’s image processing and complex secure encryption computation.

The HPT600 has been officially launched and is available commercially in September 2011.
